Excel Housing Solutions are looking for a Full time Night Concierge worker to join our team. We are looking for motivated and dynamic forward thinking applicants who will support our clients in line with our ethos.

The ideal candidate will be organised, flexible and must be able to handle all situations that arise due to the nature of our clients. You do not need to have previous experience in this role, as full training will be given, although being able to communicate with clients in a focused, and solution based way is important.

Purpose of Job: To provide waking night support cover as required by the services and work with staff to provide a safe high quality accommodation based support services to Adults who present with complex needs. Support Workers will be required to work in partnership with statutory agencies to reduce the risk of homelessness/re-offending and rough sleeping in the community.

Hours- 43.75 Hours vary between Sunday to Saturday, this also includes working bank holidays.

(Usually on a rota – 3 Shifts one week, followed by 4 shifts the next week)

Salary £23,038 – £24,004. This is dependant on experience

Core Tasks:

To ensure the safety and security of the project in accordance with established health and safety procedures, take appropriate action as necessary, keeping a log of incidents, damage and danger.Increase service user compliance and reduce the risk of repeat homelessness/re-offending presentations by delivering services in a ‘Psychologically Informed Environment’ (PIE), facilitating a supportive directive for staff working with individuals with complex trauma issues.

Maintain a register of all occupants to comply with fire safety procedures.

To guard against vandalism, fires, floods, by monitoring, responding to alarm calls and regularly checking the building throughout the shift.

Controlling access to the property to guard against unauthorised visitors.

Conduct regular health and safety property checks of all tenants’ accommodation.

To inform the Maintenance call out team of any required emergency repairs to tenant’s accommodation.

To place clients “out of hours” in vacant rooms if Local authority / Mainstay require you to do so as way of an emergency placement.
